Sunday Luck!
The Clifton team were very pleased to welcome local resident Jo to the Shopping Centre on April 12th . Jo is a regular visitor and she joined us for the day to raise funds and awareness for her London marathon run on behalf of The Stroke Association. The Stroke Association provides specialist support, fund critical research and campaign to make sure people affected by stroke get the very best care and support to rebuild their lives. A few days after her visit, Jo completed the 26.2 miles and raised over £2,000! Once she had recovered from her magnificent run, Jo told us: "My motivation when entering the marathon was to raise money to help stroke survivors and their loved ones to rebuild their lives." If you want to support Jo’s important cause, her fundraising page is still open and is available here.
Centre Manager Richard said: “It was such a pleasure to welcome Jo ahead of her terrific marathon run in London! For Jo to look so fresh and energised at the end of her run was truly amazing! 100,000 people have a stroke each year in the UK, and it is runners and dedicated campaigners like Jo who deliver the amazing work in promoting not only the issue but the terrific range of help available in managing the challenge”.
