Hero finds a forever home
The Cormack family, who adopted Florrie during Covid, are the new family of Hero’! Hero is a 4 year old racing greyhound who only completed his last race in October. He is a younger cousin to Florrie who is now 5 1/2.
Hero had never been in a house before or on a pavement walk. He had of course been used to the wonderful sensory room while he was at Bristol DAWG rescue centre.
Florrie is now a part-time University dog with her human sister, and they have an inseparable bond.
As the owner says, 'these gentle souls are so adaptable and so stoical. Hero is very loving and kind, I wonder about his 4 years as a racing dog and how he coped. We originally found out about the rescue from visits to the Clifton Down shopping centre (our local centre) and we are so grateful'.
A lovely story with a happy ending!
