Emergency bleed kit installed at Clifton Down

The Blue Light Partnership has donated their 20th bleed kit to Clifton Down Shopping Centre. We have installed our emergency bleed kit externally at the front of the Shopping Centre, the inbound/outbound route for the majority of foot traffic in the area. It is the first of its kind on Whiteladies Road.

The kit is to the right-hand side of the main entrance and is visible in bright red with white lettering. It is accessible 24/7. The wall box operates on a ‘pull to remove’ yellow cable tie at the base. The hinged front cover lifts upwards like a car bonnet. The kit slides out from its own housing.  The kit comprises a clear plastic bag with the emergency items and a colour coded instruction card for the contents . It does not require specialist knowledge and can be deployed by anyone so it can be used in crucial few minutes of someone suffering a catastrophic bleed. Always remember to contact the emergency services too.
